I would say Major Roeckl, because other photos in same set were taken in late summer and autumn 1941.

Another photo identified as Heinrich Roeckl was at das-ritterkreuz.de:

Face and uniform looks similar.

BTW, he has a Jäger badge on his right sleeve. Why? He served before as Jäger?

How about this Eichenlaubträger from Kriegsmarine? His face look familiar but I couldn't remember who he is...

About unbenannt1.jpg with three U-boot commanders. In the middle - not Kuppisch, It's Claus Korth.

The bomber pilot on page 319 item 44.17 appears to be Wilhelm Schmitter. He was a first lieutenant when he got the K>C. according to Angola's On the field of honor.

It is not Schmitter in my eyes!

Hello, gentlemen,

Some pictures from Süddeutsche Zeitung photoarchiv, prwz 8.jpg I think it's Josef Dirkmorfeld, but your confirmation is the best estimate. :D  Unfortunately other not known to me.

Best wishes

Walther Bradel do not have a Narvik shield. Maybe it's Joachim Helbig L.G.1 ?
Hello,

Definitely not Helbig.

My version is based on two points:

1) Walter Bradel participated in operation "Weserübung" as part of KG 3 and he could be awarded a Narvik shield, but we don't have information about this (omission in award documents or incomplete information? )

2) His facial features and some of awards matched (in my view)

Best wishes

Ruslan
