A number of appr. 20 Bundesarchiv photographs is replaced with better quality versions of the identical photo. From the start of the thread up to page 36 ; for example Haxter, Gerth, Blücher, Fromm, Ohmsen, Nelke, Wolff. This was a measure to reproduce the original good quality of those pics. It turned out that the transfer of some resulted in lowering the quality and/or the downsizing by Dieter and me created a lower quality than initially posted (a kind of "screen" appeared). One of the things of the early phase of this project which should have been worth the attempt and the work to improve them.
Thanks to the colleague who noticed that and prepared all those again, using the format 350Pixel X xy, for the exchange I've done now.

One month ago the database has started. I would like to say thank you to all for your participation and your contributions !! What a great start !

With the edit today the former part 1 "exploded". In other words, that post reached the maximum of characters technically allowed for a single post (60.000 ; this includes not the names only, but the whole line which reflects the link). Therefore I have done a first re-organisation of the index. One of the signs of a huge project always..
