Re: Beute and Umbauwagen
Hi Markus:
Amazing series of photos of the six wheeler Ford. Never saw that vehicle before with that configuration from the Lowlands although I know such conversions were done in the US and the UK. Also great detail shots of the conversion.
I gather the photos are rather old as it seems auction-factory*de no longer sells items under that name.
I also agree with Holger that your Dodge is either a 1937 or 1938 model. Very hard to tell the difference unless you have a good clear photo. I am still looking at the bus photos for the moment.
Bill

Hi Bill,
Yes, been posting mostly long expired auction photos lately. Have done a bit of good hausfrauing lately and gone through folders I had saved eBay shots in ages ago for possible quiz use.

Re: Beute and Umbauwagen
@ Markus
Nice set.
Not an air compressor. In those days, air pressure gauges were directly connected to air hoses/tubes.
Note the electrical equipment and switches. Further note the accumulators (batteries) and the generator in 170278456758a.jpg. I would say it is a (non-standard) communications vehicle for heavy radio set(s) of some kind with a radio mast/antenna as per 170278456733a.jpg.
Almost sure it's not a water distillation plant this time.
The tactical symbol indicates a vehicle of the signal platoon of ("NZ" = Nachrichtenzug") of an antitank unit.
Cheers
Leo

Re: Beute and Umbauwagen
Thanks Leo,
Must say the Ford looks very impressive for a portable radio.

K2Y, three of them I think, then don't know behind those - too small for my eyes!
I think that framework must be for special equipment, doesn't look like a snow plough bracket but not definite
What's the shooting brake / station wagon / estate behind the ADMK?
Great photos, keep them coming!

Re: Beute and Umbauwagen
Hi Sean,
K2Y... Forgot the smaller Austin totally.
No idea about the estate, sorry.
