German torpedoboat of the " Raubvogel "
class alias Type 23 , notice the quay at the

Hello

This looks to me a 38 cm S.K.L/45 "Max" but as you you see the text from the P.K. photo this should be the used in the Westwall . Is this just propaganda or were there still 38 cm S.K.L/45 "Max" in service in 1939/1940 ???

Hi,

According to the book "Eisenbahnartillerie" of Guy Francois, of the eight pieces built, seven were destroyed in the years 1921 to 1922 and an eighth was kept by the French army until its defeat in June 1940, when it was recovered by the Germans.

The same surviving gun is visible on the left of this picture, also taken at Quiberon in July 40. The crane on the foreground shows how any barrel could have been taken on or off a railway carriage.

Hi all,

I found this blurry image on Ebay. Can somebody identify the gun? I think 28cm Kz.Bruno K (E). Perhaps E.695 Batterie in Russia?? Leningrad??

Thanks in advance. Sturm78
