Thanks "Pavel Michalek" for the further information. I was not quite sure who were there in the images.

This Op-Ed in the New York Times should be of great interest to some of the posters here. The authors make a case for preserving what's left of the Berghof and other Nazi-era structures on the Obersalzberg.

Very nice postings lately Johnny ! The one on the lower driveway is absolutly new to me, thanks !
But the second one, is certanly not taken on the Berghof. I have seen that image before, but forgot where it was taken.
Not the Berghof though. I am sure someone will know here at the forum. Thanks again.

A companion article. It's a damned shame that all of this comes too late to save the important historic structures and ruins that already fell prey to the whims of the Bavarian Minister of Finance.

The last photo was not taken at the Berghof. There´s another one in a Hoffmann book, taken at the same location, AH doesn´t face the camera, and titled with "G´schwandner Alm bei Garmisch".

Hi Hans, JR, everyone,

There was a series of photos taken on this occasion. Hoffmann published at least one in Hitler in seinen Bergen (1938), but Eva was cut out of the photo. Here is another that Eva put in her photo albums.

The photo caption in Hoffmann's book is "Beim Gschwandnerbauern," but I don't know where the G'schwandner Alm was or is. Antikoerper, do you know the location?

Most of the recent postings are from old files (that I've finally had time to go through and categorize) that various fellow enthusiasts have sent me over the years from all over the world I would assume.
I believe that most are probably originally from Heinrich Hoffmann(?) and or from the National Archive in Washington D.C. (public domain)

Was something Photoshopped out of the middle of this picture?
