As we all know Rommel had his Inspection i Denmark december 1943.

Very appropriate this time of year, I would like to show you Rommels New Years letter 7.1.1944 to General von Hanneken.

I would suspect this to be either North Africa or Italy.

It is Italien officers and Rommel is wearing his "Sand / dust goggles", and I have never seen Rommel with these glasses after he arrived in the West 1943 - 44.

So - not inspecting the Atlantic wall, but still nice pictures

I don't think I have seen these BA pictures posted earlier.

Rommel next to what looks to me a 28 cm turret.

Could it be a 28 cm S.K.L/50 turret of MKB Grosser-Kurfürst in Northenr France or a 28 cm SK C/34 turret of MKB Rozenburg in the Netherlands or a different caliber in another location?
