SS typewriter w/box what are they worth???

#1

Post by Reichspropaganda » 15 May 2003, 23:55

Hello to all. I also wanted to say that this is a great site.
I have looked several times in old posts to find any answers but no luck so any help would be appreciated.

I am looking for anyone that can lead me to or tell me what a SS typewriter is worth? It has the no.3 key as SS and has its original carrying case as well. It all looks to be in working condition and have been told that Everything is working! Very nice shape It was offered to me at 1200.00

Thanks!!

i've seen most go for with out a box, around $300.-$400.
and you need to make sure the box is a real deal, or a after market or for another one of the same, but not SS. then the price would go down alot... greg k

XAVIER WAS RIGHT ON TARGET WITH THE PRICE. AS $1,200 IS A WAY OUT OF RANGE. THAT IS WHY FORUMS LIKE THIS ARE SO GREAT BECAUSE THEY HELP PEOPLE OUT SO MUCH. BEST WISHES DON BOYLE (HONORRINGMAN)

hello to al ,
i like to say that the typwriters of groma , are the most trusted and the most rare to find in compleet condition with box and serial numbers. as listed in the book of lumsden ( u.k )
a while ago i have buyd one from a german old man that i know tru famely, i have paid ( friendsprice 300 € )
tochether with the original deskstamp of the SS-brigadeführer Greifeld. 1000% original .
and on my journy in germani i went to berlin to herman historia, and thy estimated the type writer and the stamp
for the starting price of 850 €.
so i think that many fakes are in the market these days , produced in polen to reproduse fake documents
with almost no recognitions between fake or originals, and makes a lot of money with it.
and this is an eagle in the eye for tru collectors like me.
soon i wil have my own web-site with drittes reich collection, so everybody can see the original typwriter and make a comparisation, and details.

Can anyone help me with this?. I have a Nazi 1939 Erika typewriter( at least I think it is an Erika)..The odd thing about this one, which I have yet to find anywhere, is that it has the ss lighting bolt and the sa together on one key. The top right-hand corner. Has anyone seen this before and do you know what it may be worth? Everything works great including the 80-year-old ribbon/includes box.
