Re: Interesting eBay pics
Found another photo from the same series as I posted on 12/19/15. Another excellent photo showing a LWS in action. The LWS in the middle is the same unit as in previous photo.

Re: Interesting eBay pics
A very interesting photo, Sturm and I wish I could immediately ID it, but I cannot.
The vehicle looks to be of German origin but the driver's cabin is not the one we normally see on the ones supplied to the German Forces and seems to be a coach built body.
The rear body reminds me of the type of body used in many military forces to carry a gun crew or some such.
Where I have a little problem is that I have several photos in my files of 1939 model Ford trucks supplied from the US to various European countries that normally had their two piece windscreen that have been supplied with coach built driver's cabins with the more typically German single piece windscreen. Some from the Netherlands for example, but they are all civilian vehicles.
I will keep looking and I hope others may have some ideas.
Bill

WH-453106 is a mobile library. "The book is a sword of the Spirit," it reads on the back. Photo taken in Troyes, France.

The Pionierkraftwagen I based on the Mercedes-Benz LG 3000 platform was rare enough, but one with this particular radiator badge was no doubt unique!

Hi Luftflotte 2,
a very interesting pic, indeed. Thank You very much for posting.
Here a pic from me hoping that´s also interesting for You: German soldiers trying to save a truck fallen into the harbour, even with the help of a diver (source of the pic: an expired ebay auction).
I think it is a captured GMC model 1939.
Regards
Bert

Re: Interesting eBay pics
Hi Bert,
Interesting cab having a single pane windscreen on a '39-40. Possibly Dutch or Belgian. AFAIK GMC USA/Canada switched to a split screen after the '38 model year.

I wonder what the diver was looking for. The vehicle is only partially submerged!
One more I'd like to add. A mobile workshop with generator trailer. source: ebay.de

Re: Interesting eBay pics
Looking through this photo series I think these vehicles are from the Panzerjäger Abteilung of the 7th Panzer Division, summer(?) 1942. I could be completely wrong though, so take it with a grain of salt.
One more thing - the original seller is holz-klaus. Please search through their new listings and expired ones (Beendete Angebote). The non-watermarked versions are there.
