How can it belong to 7 PD and still be a KORPS unit ?
Sure Alan, Actually, this is not Korps-Nachschubtruppen 422 (Panzergruppe 1), but Nachschubtruppen 58 (7.Pz-Div).
I dont know the yellow star in four branches on the right mudguard, but i have the same on a "Beiwagen" of Pz-Regt.25 (7.Pz-Div) BMW R12.
If somebody has an idea.

The little man in a white uniform on the front of this Matford seems to be carrying a ladder and a pickaxe. Any ideas?

He is carrying a ladder and a brush on a rope.
He represents a chimney sweep = the man who cleans chimneys (German: Schornsteinfeger ).

And, no, I have no idea which unit it represents. :(

Many thanks for that, Leo. He kind of reminds me of our old friend Hans Hummel from Hamburg. Perhaps our Schornsteinfeger here could be associated with another city or region?? I have no idea and there are no other identifying marks visible on the vehicle.

Max

On the reverse the writing reads "IR.16" so this unit emblem is probably for Infanterie-Regiment 16.

Thanks, Luftflotte. Here is another shot with a better view of the symbol:

Hello everybody,
the chimney sweep is throughout Deutschschland a symbol of good luck.
The chimney sweep protected the cities of fire as he swept the fireplaces and the chimneys

I think there is no link like Hummel Hummel and Hamburg

Thanks for that information, augustdieter. BTW I was not implying that there was a link to Hamburg, but was wondering if the chimney sweep may have had a link to some other city. In any event, you have answered my question. :)

May I ask for ID of unit logo, it is placed on front fender of Sd.Kfz 6 used in spring 1945 in Poland. But it may be Soviet marks too, because they used this truck as captured.
