This battery fought with British warships off Nemours on March 30, 1941. The result was dramatic: four French sailors were killed.

Here is the story (in French) of one of them, Enseigne de vaisseau Dognin, who fought with the 2nd battery in Northern France in May-June 1940:

Here are pictures from this site of the Nemours battery including one of the 155 mm guns:

I think I have found the unit of these guns near Leningrad , as you can see the B. Strjelna ( 5./530 )
had 15.5 cm guns with a very large range ( other map ) , it could reach Leningrad and half Kronstadt .
Documents = NARA

in the Leningrad Area:
the 15,5 cm Kanone 424 (f) were part of Heeres-Küsten-Artillerie-Abteilung 143

Hello Jos, it's January 1944

the barrels of their 15,5, cm Kanone 416 (f) had fired around 9500 rounds - so HKAA 143 need some new guns

in late february the 15,5 cm Kanone 424 (f) are no longer listed

Hello Uwe

In your fantastic book I could only find one remark on the 15.5 cm K.424 (f) in the service of H.K.A. in Jan. 1944.
We have not so many of these guns in German service, the French had only 8 guns in the European theater .
Above we can see the four guns in service of the M.A.A. from end 1942 till 1943, on the last list I have from 31-08-1943
you can see there was only one 15.5 cm gun in the B. Strelna , it could be that this gun was given to the H.K.B. 143 .
Also on the list of Artillerie from 01-03-1944 there are no 15.5 cm K.424 (f) in service in the H.K.A.
