Hi Kurt

Thanks for the 'ping'.. I'm afraid I've not got anything new in a 'write up-able' form at present. I spent a few weeks in Northern France in the Summer and so have various photos of V1 sites and some new mapping data from the French IGN. I'll try to write some of it up in the next few week.

How goes it for you?

Happy Christmas in any event!

best wishes

David

Hi every one

A group of friends and I are using our spare time linking german occupation of France and urbex (Urban exploration) to discover places full of history.
We are in the phase of collecting all the documents possible regarding the area of VILLAINES LA CARELLE used by axis to store v1 and v2 in old quarries. We started our exploration few days ago, and we would require more maps and exploration materials, and any informations about this area.
It seems some of you got documents that could be interesting for us.
We are "lookers", not breakers in any kind, we would be more than happy to share any pictures of the places we discover if you would be willing to share with us anything that could help us.

Thank you very much by anticipation.

Sorry, too far away from my 'usual' haunts in Picardy but good luck and I hope you can share (on here) what you find.

A German document from 84 AK (NARA Roll T314-R-1603) mentions the arrival of 23./IV/Flak-Rgt. 155 (W) in Bricquebec [in the Cherbourg peninsula] on December 23, 1943.

The website http://www.ww2.dk/ground/flak/flargt155.html indicates that 23./IV and 24./IV were "technische Batterien". What was a "technische Batterie"?

Hi Guys,

It has been a long time since I was last here, but I am hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction.

I am trying to find details of original Danish documents about bomb incidents in Denmark during March-April 1945. This will include normal bomb incidents and V-1 incidents plus possibly a few V-2 incidents also, as one launch unit was firing into the North Sea near Sylt during this period. However, the Denmark National Archives have informed me that the information does not exist as their Civil Defence records only reach February 1945. This cannot be correct, as Kurt has previously provided V-1 impact information during March-April on this board.

So my question is..... where would be the best place to find Danish civil defence information for March-April 1945?

Anything you can tell me would be much appreciated.

Best Regards,

John.

Hello

Pictures from this book, with a lot of information, drawings and pictures from chateau´s and larger Manoirs occupied by the Germans and the Stp. and Wn. V1, V2 and bunkers etc. buildt on the sites - can be highly recomended.

The author has also the book "Bombes et V1 sur le Pas-de-Calais 1944" - is there anyone who knows this book?

Kurt
