Hi Folks,
I'm looking for some input on a repro feldbluse I picked up a little while ago.
Here's we go: I bought it used, insignia removed at an army surplus store for $30. I tricked it out with some insignia and, bingo, that's where we currently stand. I'm not an expert on proper fit and finish by any means but I have done quite a bit of reading and research on the matter so if you throw some technical info my way I'll know what you're talking about. It's quite a bit grayer than anything I've seen before (I assume it is replicating either a late war or captured stocks look). The lining also made up of an entertaining combo of funky olive and puke green. I took photos in direct sunlight. Also, I put it next to a Sturm greatcoat (we've all seen those) for color reference. (I don't compare repros to determine authenticity, just don't possess any originals to compare). I have no idea who it's made by and can't find any quite like it currently on the market. I'm wondering if it would be proper color-wise, etc for using for a proper impression as I'm looking to get into the hobby.
Hopefully my links work, I'm quite new to all this.
Any and all input on any aspects is appreciated. Thanks!

The reproduction you have is made to replicate the appearance of Italian wool. This was a common material for original M43 tunics. In the photo of my collection posted above, the short M44 tunic near the center of the bottom row is the type of fabric that your reproduction represents.
I believe that the reproduction you show is a great copy. I think it was made in China, maybe by Ant-Z. This type of reproduction is desirable and no longer available.

Sounds like I found a good one! I really do like the look of the Italian wool; I think it has a unique and smart look to it. Thanks for the info in the possible maker.cpittman wrote: ↑29 Aug 2018, 20:36The reproduction you have is made to replicate the appearance of Italian wool.
