Hi all,

I found some pictures on website about this binoculars !
Is it for the commander of Uboat or for other Batleship ?

-1941 is the first BLC 8 x60 (tall one) mine is N°2118284 batch by Zeiss of 200 fev 1941
I leave in france and i thing after the war France soldiers have take some Binoculars in the U Boat Bunkers why not it is a supposition !
-I have some pictures of uboat commander with this binoculars.

-An other question is why i have benutzer in leaver and the cap is white (the other cap i see in website are Black).

Hill all,

An other question to this binoculars :

the binoculars is notice Number of serie 2118284 M for Marine ,the stamp with imperial eagle and swatika ,BLC for Zeiss during the war, T for coating glass; IV/I the area of control but What represent the number 943 ?

Perhaps a lot of série for a specific Battleship i see in website ( Historica Collectibles) a Same Binoculars with the number 949 and a Number of série 2118287 could you help me to know more information ( is it uboat Binoculars other ship the meaning of the endowment of the German Binoculars during the ww2.)

Thanks very much

Marc.

Hi,Sorry about that logged out too quick.

Hope this helps, the fact that Carl Zeiss has a museum for its past production models can only be a good sign.

Hope you find what you are looking for.

Hello ,

Thanks to Marte

from Zeiss museum Unternehmensarchiv for her quick and effectives response .

" The Carl Zeiss Jena binoculars (blc) no 2118284 were produced in 1941.

The incsriptions on the right side are specific military inscriptions and we have no records regarding that.

I hope this information is useful. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

With best regards,

Marte "

I will try now to fix the specific military inscriptions .

Have you some informations about that ?.I will be happy .
