Hello Sturm78 .
Thanks for a interesting photo of 27 July 2015 .

It looks as an 21 cm SKL/45 in Verschwindlafette to me . Notice that the gun
has an horisontal breech block , the 15 cm KL / 40 in Küstenlafette C / 07
had vertical breech block . If you compare the gun barrel with photos /
postcard from Essen in 1913 it matches .

Krupp produced at least 3x different types of Verschwindlafette :
24 x guns 15 cm KL/40 in Küstenlafette for 5 x CD batteries
at Danzig , Swindemünde and Borkum

1 x gun 21 cm SKL/45 prototype at Essen Later Meppen

4 x guns 28 cm Kst. K . L/45 in Verschwindlafette for the Belgian coastal
fort Doel outside Antwerpen . These guns were confiscated by the Germans
in 1914 and later used in Battery Deich ,Wilhelmshaven - But in WW 2 some
of these gun barreles reappeared as 28 cm schwere Bruno rail guns . Two
28 cm schwere Bruno railway guns survived in Norway in 1950 s .

Hi Ludvig, your'e right!
Discussed photo it is really 28 cm L/45 gun.
Küstenartillerie am Festungs-Geschütz, ca.1917 Schillig.jpg
Caption with place name Schillig also confirms your location = Deichbatterie, entry to Wilhelmshaven bay.

Alredy picture is again offered on Ebay.
An interesting article about that location: http://mariengymnasium-jever.de/mgjever ... start1.htm
Pitty, but former battery area is destroyed by developer now.

Hello Sturm78,
this is a Daimler-Krupp K-Flak Model 1910 , with a Krupp 7,1 cm L/30 gun.
There is a nice picture of it there: https://www.flickr.com/photos/drakegoodman/32071118374/

There is a list of experimental Flak guns designed by Krupp before WW1 here:
http://www.bulgarianartillery.it/Bulgar ... h_FlaK.htm

The Krupp 7,1 cm L/30 gun is listed with the mention that it was later modified to a more standard 7,7 cm caliber.

Thanks Karlik...this gun match with the gun of my image...
It seems that his designation was 7.5cm Krupp Gebirgskanone L14 (Modell Chile 1913)...

It seems that the Germans (both Krupp as Rheinmetall) developed many mountains guns before WWI....

Hi ludvig...Thanks for your answer....The text of the image say "fronte di terra" = land front, although it is difficult to ensure, as the image is retouched....

Hi,

Not that I have any great expertise in artillery identification, the breach and base of the gun itself look larger, as though it is a scaled up 203mm gun, and the barrel itself looks longer too. The only reliable comparison, taken with a similar view is on the Wikipedia page.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EOC_8_inc ... tern_W.jpg

Another way to check scale is to compare objects of known sizes to them, and in this case, the heads of the gunners compared to the breach look as though it would be possible to fit one into the chamber, whilst on a 203mm gun this would be a very tight fit for most people. To me though, the most convincing point is the length of the barrel, clearly longer in scale to the picture of the 203mm gun on Wikipedia. My guess would have been a 10" minimum, 12" maximum gun, probably a 45 calibre. Scale comparison is more the area on photo recognition I am proficient with, so feel free to dismiss this, but I find it hard to reconcile the two pictures as being of the same gun, although they are undoubtedly the same basic design, which is why I would look at a larger member of the family if you can find any pictures - I cannot, but I am not known for being great at searching out such things, being a bit too old to be fully computer savvy.
