This biography is quite disappointing.
748 pages yet you base your opinion on something on page 32?
It is a very big study. I do not deny it.
But when you write one page with foot notes about the brother and sister of the personnage . And when you " forget " to mentions two of them willingly . Especially one who lived in France with another Identity . you may have some questions about the all book !
And my questions is especially as it is a very big study !

What is your primary source that there were more siblings? Did you ask the author why he only mentioned five? The grave only lists six including Hanns Albin

I am very surprised . as it is a thésis did the Author decide to change other part of the fact in his book . It is an obvious lack of serious. I asked the author why of course he did not mention all the Brothers and sister.

He wrote me that it was " of a sideline in the biografy of Hanns Albin Rauter " . He just changed the history of the family. !!!

He willingly do not mentions the 2 oldest Brother. The One who lived in France was look after by the police as soon as 1924 ! And took many identities . It is as interesting as the HIstory of Adolphine Rauter.

it is of course a sideline of the biography of Albin Rauter. But the french brother had contact with Alois Brunner.

I hope that he did not cut more informations…….

I do not know why he did not mention the grave which is more a mausoleum.

The source is the family itself !
You only have to check on geneanet : https://gw.geneanet.org/hawlina?lang=fr ... f&n=rauter
and http://www.rainerknoerle.de/stammbaum/S ... 06BA34.htm

And this thema : https://www.forum-der-wehrmacht.de/inde ... 0-gesucht/
Then why are the names on the grave so different from the names you listed?

Could you post the original text of his reply to you? No offense but some of what you write gets lost in translation

I own the book also, and have already spotted a few mistakes - mainly incorrect German translations and the like.
"Merken Sie sich eins; bei uns zu Haus' sind nur die Mannschaften Ostmärker. Die Herren Offiziere sind Österreicher! Servus Doktorchen!"

I just found out (after my grandma passed) that Hanns Rauter was my great great uncle (the brother of my grandmother’s grandmothers). According to her, they were 5 children (2 of which were girls) and the others are supposedly burried in Klagenfurt. I will try to find out names etc, but it is indeed puzzling that according to this chat, the grave is in Graz, as they lived and died elsewhere.

People asked for photo's and the execution.

Rauter was indeed executed. These pictures are from several Dutch archives.

- Rauter after the shooting
- Rauter during his trail
- The order to take Rauter to the Waalsdorpervlakte to be executed in Dutch (there is also a movie of that moment).

At the execution site Rauter didn't want to be blindfolded and he gave the order 'VUUR' (Fire!) himself.

He is buried in a secret grave in the Hague.
