Hello, balkanguy44

I don't know who he is at the moment, but if it helps: he wears glasses.

Hello, Huska

The pictured man is probably not your grandfather's uncle, since the photo belongs to a series of fake Handschar pictures.

As you can see here, this is the exact same uniform (and background), with three different faces:

Also, be aware that "internet" does not qualify as a source, it is like writing "I found it somewhere". You must be specific.

I kindly remind you to read the forum rules and avoid any possible problems in the future: app.php/rules

Ivan

Hello Huska,

Hello, balkanguy44

Since Huska is ignoring your justful comment, I'll credit the source: it is "Große Geschichte des Dritten Reichs und des Zweiten Weltkriegs" Vol. VIII (p. 154).

Huska, please read the forum rules and act accordingly: app.php/rules

Hello, Huska

It is from the book „Muslime in der Waffen-SS“ by Zvonimir Bernvald. On this page there is a little story about what happened when Mr Mujakić was in combat.

Hello, Huska

I have the book. Here is one page of the story of Fuad (it's the last page of the story where the photo is), if you want to read the whole story, you can buy the book.

The photo of the three Handschar officers (von Rautenfeld, Schilling, and Launer) you posted was taken on 12 May 1943 in Zagreb during the "solemn induction of the Croatian volunteers into the Waffen SS."
