Hello,

I'd need a good quality version of T78, Roll 617. Does someone has it?

Thanks. :D

Hi all. T-315 Rolls 2236-2245, 704. Infantrie-Division(except 2244 which I found) are on Mori's OTHER list. Has anyone came across them? (especially early years rolls 2236-2240)? Many thanks.

AFAIK, only incomplete versions are available. They just make 15% of the total pages. Waiting for someone to buy the complete rolls from NARA...

Wouldn't it be an idea that....

A) We create a foundation
B) We collect money (or do it with a received subsidy for example)
C) We buy all 4.000 Rolls from NARA
D) We make them all available in digital prints
E) Share it....

You can even buy the first rolls from the people who already bought roll's in the past, and only take the missing parts from NARA...

I know this will be a huge operation, you'll need a huge amount of storage and bandwidth... But there are much bigger databases, so it will be a realistic goal that I would 'burn my fingers on'...

Greetings, Guido

This has been going on for about 20 years now as a private initivative. There are several threads on this site that deal with the issue. Unfortunately there are a couple of problems with your idea, the biggest one being at NARA prices - we need about $1,000,000. I don't remember exactly but are there not about 6,000 military rolls? Then you need to add all the personal files, which are att least 3,000 rolls. Then you have the Italian material. I think there are even SA files. Oh, I forgot about all the naval rolls (T-1022)...

Your idea about a foundation, might not be a bad idea. I wounder if it is possible to form a research foundation to apply for grant money from the EU and its member states?

Say we get $10,000 or $100,000 dollars, what material do you buy then? I personally feel the T312 (army) and T314 (corps) are the most important material. Other might think the SS personal files are most important (about $80,000) or the Wehrmacht personal files (about $200,000). Perhaps we make it easy, whoever gets the grant money decides which rolls.

I like your idea but as a first step: does anyone on the list know anything about applying for grant money or forming an 'offical' research foundation?

I also once a had what I thought was a good idea - I was going to write a book. That was 2010, it is now 2018 and the book still isn't finished. It isn't hard to come up with a good idea but it usually takes a hell of a lot of hard work and in many cases a lot of cash to make it come true. I have noticed throught the internet that the great majority of good ideas never reach completion.

I am not making fun of your idea nor trying to discourage you. I just want to make clear that it will take a lot of work and we need someone that will do the work. That someone is also going to have to prove that they are willing to do the work and even more importantly convince everyone that they will see the project through.

:milwink: One word: WOW....

About the foundation and funding from the EU: it's quite an easy thing to get realized.
There are funds for this, and people who like to support it.
Some kind of 'crowd-funding-part'.

Thanks for your advice and remarks!

And about 'on-going' projects that take much more time then expected: I experience that on a daily basis :D

Hello Gentlemen
I have a question, I read in AHF(orum) that in the KTB (war diary) of the 7.Armee (I think june-dec. 1940) there are some Kriegsranglisten (officers lists) of this Armee.
Do You have this roll ? Which reference number has it ? If You have it, will You kindly send me only the frames with the officers lists ?
I am not interested in the whole roll but only in the officers lists present in that roll (as well as all other officers lists present in other rolls......)
Also, I read in Calvin´s roll T312 R239 (4.Armee), which contains many frames with "Personalveränderungen/HPA", that the previous roll no. too has many other such lists.
So, do You have roll T312 R238 ? If yes, can Yo kindly check whether there are here too other frames with Personalveränderungen ? If yes, how many frames are they ?
I too have many NARA rolls, but my intention is mainly to collect for my studies as many officers lists (Stellenbesetzungen, Kriegsranglisten, Übersichten, etc.) as possible (Heer/Army only, nearly all commands + nearly all units, from aug. 1939 to may 1945 only)
For the above lists, as well as for others, I intend to offer my own lists (I have many) as well as my NARA rolls.
Many thanks in advance, Rossano

Hey Guys!

Im from Germany and since 2013, i search for my Grand Uncle. He is missing since April 1944 in Tarnopol. The last Message is from the 15.03.1944.
He was in the Grenadier Battalion 949., 359 Infantery Division.
All Letters from my Grand Uncle, from 1941 to the last in 1944 are well preserved. So i write a Book with the Letters.

https://www.amazon.de/Die-Geschichte-vo ... 1503335364

But i still search, and i need some Nara Rolls, i didnt find them...
Maybe someone can help me. Sorry for my bad English, i speak better then i write.

I need the Following Rolls:

T313 - R392
T-314 R1181
T-314 R1182
T-314 R1183
T-314 R1184

I found the T314 - R1180 and the T313 - R391 / R393.

In the
T-314 R1181 - R1184 should exist a File "Tarnopol". In Gert Frickes "Fester Platz: Tarnopol" is the File "Tarnopol" a Source from the Rolls.

Maybe someone can help.

Thanks and regards,

Markus
