Re: Base V1 161 poteau de Montauban
If all goes as planned, a ramp that is currently built by a local metalworker, should be mounted towards the end of March and thereafter a V1 should be put on it. The plans of the ramp and the V1 were graciously loaned by the association that manages the Eperlecques site. Subsequently another ramp should be mounted on the site of Campneusville
The inauguration is scheduled for June 13, 2019, when the first v1 was fired. It fell on a farm located about 500 meters, causing a lot of damage.
Passionate about model I could not let this go without looking at this site. Up to now it is several dozen hours that were necessary for the construction of the buildings, the ramp and the plateau which alone measures 2, 20 m long and 1.20 m wide.
Everything is done at a scale of 1/144, you imagine yourself on a larger scale!
To start it all I had to find a model of v1 and that being done I started to build the ramp, because I did not find any model on this scale. That's what asked me the more time.
I then realized the adjustment building on the non-magnetic base.

Always on the same subject.
In Seine Maritime, a museum dedicated to the Second World War, which has an entirely reconstituted v1 which has been recovered from swamps and which comes from the Montauban site

As the restorer and owner of the Tosny museum died in 2021, the museum unfortunately exists no more! But the restored V1 had been moved to the La Coupole museum and is since 7 Mai 2022 on display.jocrobin wrote: ↑12 Jan 2019, 10:56[…] In Seine Maritime, a museum dedicated to the Second World War, which has an entirely reconstituted v1 which has been recovered from swamps and which comes from the Montauban site […]

- That the V1 with serial number 114635 has been started from the FSt 161 is an outdated information – see here.
- More information about the V1 114635 here.
- And more about the FSt 161 here.
