The Motor-rifle Battalions never used half tracks. Their use was largely restricted to Reconnaissance units such as Motorcycle Regiments and Battalion within Tank Armies although the Mech Bde Reconnaissance company did field 1-2 platoon with armoured trucks which would usually be 10 British carriers or converted BA armoured cars.

I greeting all comunity! Small introduction - in the research the Soviet TO&Es, the highest priority is given to Shtat itself, from the attention of researchers eludes component and integral to each Shtat Table of Equipment (Табель Имущества). Unfortunately, the Table of Equipment to the Shtat of interest to us is also not yet available as the Shtat itself. Reporting documents of soviet units can help us. I want to present this type of document to the community, from already familiar to us 47 sep.Mechanized Brigade:

Their use was largely restricted to Reconnaissance units such as Motorcycle Regiments and Battalion within Tank Armies although the Mech Bde Reconnaissance company did field 1-2 platoon with armoured trucks which would usually be 10 British carriers or converted BA armoured cars.
TO&Es were issued with British Universal carriers in mind. However, in practice in the last part of the war they were typically replaced with US M3A1 Scout Cars (abut 3000 were shipped to the Soviet Union). Employment of armored half-tracks (captured or US-built) was only sporadic.

Theoretically the infantry in the mechanized/motorized brigades was supposed to be transported by trucks. In reality given a chronic shortage of motor transport a large part of them marched on foot. Typically the brigade marched by two groups: motorized group (recce company, artillery battalion, mortar battalion, tank regiment carrying one rifle battalion as riders and the portion of infantry that can be lifted by available motor transport), and a foot group - the remaining infantry. The same applies to the motorized rifle brigade except the absence of tanks and tank riders.

Thanks to both :) ok i see. How many soldiers by tank small T-60/70 or T-34 or heavy JS-2 or ISU please ? i think 6 and 8 about
tank regiment carrying one rifle battalion
All Soviets units in comparison with Western are clearly more small and even for post WWII TOE but as this Bn have only 400 mens the 53 later 65 tanks could transported easy infantry but it was very dangerous for mens to be on the tank and very rustic conditions of transport !

Here is a pattern from a 1942's instruction:

In practice, I guess, it might be smaller or larger depending on circumstances.

This document from 47 Motor-rifle Brigade illustrates the point:

Расчет погрузки на автотранспорт при вводе в прорыв частей 47 мбр

Hello to the whole community! Special greeting to you Gary Kennedy! Thank you for the attention! I apologize to all that I did not give a link to the original of my last translation. Here is the link: https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view/?id=452084672 I begin the process of commenting on this report viewtopic.php?p=2182905#p2182905 in detail, which I have announced. I'll start with the section "6.Staffing of the brigade by communication equipment ". How were the means of communication distributed between the units and subunits?
MBde's forces and means of communication by Shtat.jpg
This table is based on a very valuable and interesting material: "Report of the commander of the 35th MBde on selected issues of combat experience study " on 15 pages with diagrams. The original is here: https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view/?id=452581777 - 3rd and 4th pages
3rd page.jpg
4th page.jpg
These both sources (47th sep.MBde & 35th MBde) do not match each other completely, the most notable similarity - two types of radio stations (RBM & RB with extended antenna) are presented as analogues. In other reporting documents, I did not find this. Examples:
Certificate of communication equipment of the 27th Grd.MRBde May 31, 1944 page 1.jpg
Certificate of communication equipment of the 27th Grd.MRBde May 31, 1944 page 2.jpg
Link:https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view/?id=451529643 The same documents on tank brigade: https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view/?id=452288056 - 40th Grd.TBde, and reporting document of Tank Corps: https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view/?id=136926920 - 9th Grd.TC. In these documents are similar to the type of specified radio stations - RBS & A-7-A. I have displayed this in my table as well as the problematic number of phones in document's 35th MBde. The error lies in the data of Signal Plt of HQ Co, two phones UNA-FI should be there. Indirect evidence: ''Information on the combat and numerical composition of artillery of 35th MBde as of February 13, 1945" - https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view/?id=452067730. Unfortunately, the data on the Recon Co is not in the original source, I used the information from here: https://www.hgwdavie.com/s/010-420-Mech-Bde.xls Thank you very much, Der Alte Fritz for this material! On topic of communication equipment on this moment all.

Best regards

Interesting documents, thanks. Pay attention that in battalion networks RBS radios were typically substituted with A-7A. Which was not exactly an equal substitute since A-7A had a different frequency range and couldn't communicate with most other stand-alone or tanks radios.

This documents is also interesting as a presentation of motifs typical for reports from other units:
- Anti-tank rifles are all but useless in 1945 and should be substituted with captured fausts
- 45-mm AT guns are similarly worthless and are largely substituted with 57-mm guns (ZIS-2)
- Dodge WC is best as a tractor for AT guns (small size, mobility)
- mixed mortar battalion (120 and 82-mm mortars) doesn't have a useful purpose. It is proposed to have a uniform mortars battalions with three 120-mm batteries instead
- a brigade artillery HQ is needed (it was improvised in practice in many cases)
- stronger recon elements are needed (improvised recon platoons created in battalions)

I greeting all comunity! I am pleased to welcome you, Art! Thank you very much for your attention and your helpful comments! You saved me time, because I was going to tell the community a little bit about the content of this report https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view/?id=452581777. Thanks again! But still, I add the following - according to the information from page 22, until the end of war on weapons ATGBty of MRBn were 45-mm ATG on Shtat, for the new 57-mm ATG the Shtat has not changed. And whether there were directives (from NKO, General Staff, GAU) which regulated questions with inevitable changes in the Table of Artillery Equipment (Табель Артиллерийского имущества) to Shtat № 010/421, this is a question! It is also interesting that, in 35th MBde offer to increase the composition of gun-crew's 57-mm ATG to 8-9 men (almost like 122-mm Divisional Howitzer M-30 8O ), but here next door in native 1st MechCorps lives 219th TBde on Shtat № 010/500-010/506 with 6-men of gun-crew's 57-mm ATG, according to this Shtat!
Before my previous post, there was an exchange of views on the issue of transportation of Soviet Mech/Mot Infantry, for its part and especially for Der Alte Fritz (if I understand correctly, your specialize - military transportation) I present an interesting document:
The plan for the redistribution of ''US-6'' on subunits of 26th MRBde to a march in ''rasputiza''.jpg
Link:https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view/?id=451530212 As I assume, this document was compiled by command of 26th MRBde for 19th TCorps HQ, in order to calculate the mobility of Mot.Infantry Element. I call such organizational documents - "Micromanagement in organization of military units, in the field, in Soviet style". Here, by the way, there was an example of micromanagement in a combat organization: viewtopic.php?p=2172389#p2172389

Hello to the whole community! In continuation of this post - viewtopic.php?p=2184363#p2184363 I want to present material for comparison and analysis about Mot.Rfl.Bde. "Report on the organization of communication 56th Mot.Rfl.Bde for the period from March 22 to April 14, 1945" on 9 pages with diagrams. Link: https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view/?id=454966807 On the 2nd page, where indicated staffing of the brigade by communication equipment:
page 2nd.jpg
we can notice not only the replacement of RBS with A-7-A, but new precedent of substitution - instead of RB appeared 12RP/12RPM, with an increase in the number. The latter fact is due to the fact that in the counting took into account radios 12RP mounted on light armored cars BA-64 (7x12RP-in Arty Div + 4x12RP on 4xBA-64 in Recon Co = 11 by Shtat in this Report). This calculation of radio stations is not unique:
Report on numerical and combat composition of 3rd Grd.MBde as of January 25, 1945.jpg
The original is here: https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view/?id=136059133 In addition to 12RP on BA-64, Wireless sets No.19 on APCs could also be taken in count. I also want to note that the replacement of RB to 12RP were in Tank Brigades, example - in my previous post, I gave the link on Certificate of communication equipment of 40th Grd.TBde of 11 Grd.TC https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view/?id=452288056, can be compared to a similar document of 38th sep.Grd.TBde - https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view/?id=454969827 An important point to which attention should be paid, what is the conclusion made with regard to the equipment of Recon Co by means of communication. If in report of 35th MBde of 1st MC on 11st page expresses the need for more powerful communication equipment than available - 1хRBM (on truck) & 3x12RP (on BA), similar RSB mounted on APC, whereas in report of 56th MRBde of 23rd TC on 9th page (the 7th point of section 8.''General conclusion'') in General offer to be limited to one radio similar 12RP, which, according to notes number 1. from this scheme:
Radio communication scheme of 56 MRBde in battles for city of Győr.jpg
can be installed in BA-64 as needed. This is not surprising - Mech.Bde is more self-sufficient combat unit, even as one of the three motorized infantry elements of Mech.Corps. I cannot fail to note another example of flexibility in optimizing the distribution of forces and means, this time in communication equipment -

Sorry, I am getting confused.
Many of the postings here do not include dates. Apparently, nor do the charts. Is this because a/the covering letter indicated the date?

Is there a list of Shtat which shows:
— the date the Shtat was introduced,
— what date & what changes were made,
— what date and by which Shtat it was replaced?

Thanks
