Hello, Huska

I’m not the admin of this topic but posting a picture of an unknown member of the Handschar Division because of his haircut is irrelevant. No info given, not even a real or reliable source..

Dear Huska,

Again and again....

[...] be aware that "internet" does not qualify as a source, it is like writing "I found it somewhere". You must be specific.

I'm sorry, but I must correct you again: Photobucket is not a source, the same as Facebook, YouTube etc. It's like writing a "library". One more time: you should be specific. A friendly advice: try searching for more solid/reliable sources than those you're currently browsing.
Also...

A sourceless photo is most often a worthless photo. Don't post if you don't know the source. Also, remember how many "Handschar" fakes are out there. Are you sure this isn't one of them? I don't know. I must see the rest of the Soldbuch. But to see it, I need the source. And there isn't any.

Now that's a fine, reliable source :) The number of the file (also relevant!): 45399.

The photo was taken at the barracks in Neuhammer, Nov. 1943. The photo comes from the same series as the photo of a soldier putting up grand mufti's picture on the wall.

Ivan

...but I don't think that's a naughty lady photo on the wall, although that's also the first thing that came to my mind as something typical of young men and soldiers. It's an entire newspaper page (notice the headline and long text on the side) with a photo of something that looks more like a sculpture. A "naughty woman" doesn't fit too well with the religious-propaganda story that the photographer was making at the time. So it's likely something asexual and more sport/art-oriented.

See for example this sculpture by Arno Breker. Something like that.

Hi BG44

The photograph shows men of one of the Bosnian settlements who joined the division after the village was occupied by soldiers of the 13th mountain division of the SS troops.

Best regards
