Hi Sarge,

Can you give the exact names of those portable typewriters that have the SS rune key? Maybe even put some pictures up?

D.

Here are some photos. I don't have a photo of the Torpedo 6 desk model or a couple of the others. I have also seen this brand in a portable. The continental carriage is off of a desk model and is for legal size or fininancial leger sheets or such as it is a long carriage - the only one I've ever seen.

This last photo is of a Czech made, probably mid/late war (?) as it is all bakelite. It does not have the rune key, but a friend has one exactly like it with the rune key. It's burried away so I can't look to see if there is a brand name some where on it.

That is a maker I don't have and is a desk model rather than a portable.
Unfortunately shipping would be about as much as the typewriter. :( Ohh well such is life!

Does anyone know anything about this typewriter? 1939 Erika ( or at least I think its an Erika. The odd thing about this one is that the ss rune key and the sa key have a separate key by themselves on the top right corner. In all my reseach I have not seen a rune ss in this location, nor have I seen an SA key on any Erika or any brand.

I would love to see photos of that! My email is [email protected] if you can’t post them here.
