I think this person deserves a bit more attention concerning the songs that he wrote and that were played in the Third Reich in the movies or were simply recorded.

A photo of him:

Here is a recording made by him when he was active at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin; maybe someone could help with the year? As far as I know, it was made when he was still a student (he was a lecturer there as well, but in the late 1930s).

Later he was a HJ member and composed some music for the BDM as well:

Thanks for the information! Now it's finally clear which post in Posen he took after leaving the Hochschule in 1940.

Georg Blumensaat composed some marches:

Berliner Fahnenmarsch (nach dem Lied: Auf, hebt unsere Fahnen) 1938
Bamberger Fahnenmarsch (nach dem Lied: Heilige Fahne, heiliges Licht) 1938
Schweriner Fahnenmarsch (nach dem Lied: Ein junges Volk steht auf) 1938
Nürnberger Fahnenmarsch (nach dem Lied: Unter der Fahne schreiten wir) 1938

Which other marches did Georg Blumensaat compose?

According to the annual report of the Hochschule für Musik Berlin-Charlottenburg, Georg Blumensaat was the chairman of the student committee (Vorsitzender des Studentenausschusses) there and also sent his congratulations to the 50th birthday of professor Franz Schrecker.

Also since 1936 there were plans to organize a military music school like later in Bückeburg in cooperation the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe, for which Georg Blumensaat as a renown Hitlerjugend composer was forseen as a principal. Also it is mentioned that he was an apprentice of Hindermith (I assume it was Paul Hindermith).
