Photo of an Oberst Kintzel, taken 12 Dec 1943 in Lebedewka? Source is the photo album of Hptm. Paul Stöcker (schwere Artillerieabteilung 843) from the Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Münster website.

Who is the officer on the left (holding the maps) with von Weichs from July 1942? I know that I have seen him before, but I cannot think of his name.

More pics of this officer, iggy88:

It has to be an officer who served under von Weichs's orders. Two pictures more of the Generalstabs der 2. Armee at the end of 1941. We can see to Brauchitsch with Hermann von Witzleben (Chef des Stabes) and Weichs (OB)...

...and Weichs (OB) again, our man in question (the IIa, Ic, Id???) and Wolfdietrich Ritter von Xylander (Ia).

I located a photo of the IIa of AOK 2 (pictured on the left) from the same AOK 2 photo album from Jul-Oct 1942 in which I found the photo of the unknown officer with von Weichs. He is identified as Obstlt. Andreae. It looks to me like it might be the unknown officer. Any thoughts?

Well, that rules out the AOK 2 IIa and Ic (Hans Baumann: His photo is also in the album and it doesn’t look like him.) So, maybe a staff officer at Heeresgruppe B?

I would say he is an Oberst (74). Who is it in 9 1938?

This man was once identified as Graf von Westphalen zu Fürstenberg in this forum. There exists a pic with Weichs and Foertsch (Hermann), also depicting him, which gives this ID.
