Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
There is an item on ebay right now that purports to be a piece of the Kachelofen tile from the Untersbergzimmer in the Berghof (the room above Hitler's office, with the view towards the Untersberg mountain, that was used by Hess at one time).
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Berghof-Obersa ... ctupt=true
I'm thinking that this ebay piece may actually be a genuine Berghof relic.

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
I came across some photos of the Berghof and the area that may be of interest; I do not believe that these images have been included in this thread before.
The photos reportedly came from an SS NCO's photo album and are originals (and not mass produced). Included here for reference purposes only; the images do not belong to me.
1. Is that the Berghof on the far right (behind the SS guard shack)?
2. The Berghof. Note the retaining walls behind the building that have been the object of so much earlier discussion in this thread:
3. The Berghof driveway:
4. Unknown building. Haus Bormann or Göring perhaps?

Possibly not.Is that the Berghof on the far right (behind the SS guard shack)?
It looks more like it's further up the drive way from this [ to Goering haus]

It's a nice overview of the Berghof and the Obersalzburg. Mark Felton does a great job with his videos and they're well worth spending some time with in my opinion.

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
As already recognized, it seems to be the driveway to Goering's house. The building on the right should be the "Adjutantur Göring". The building looks the same.

By the way, nice photos!

So I wonder where this was taken. The gate is the same style, but smaller...Max wrote: ↑27 Apr 2019, 02:21Possibly not.Is that the Berghof on the far right (behind the SS guard shack)?

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
My guess is that it's the same place but to the left of the main gate

No, that is part of the underlying brick building structure at the corner near the garage. This is on the other side of the building from where the grand staircase was. There was another, smaller, stone staircase on the other side of the garage, but there is no trace of that one today either (above-ground, anyway).Ernie Primeau wrote: ↑18 May 2019, 14:17Hi guys,

Re: Berghof Obersalzberg
When I took this photo in 1989, I had written on the back that these were the steps which led to the Berghof entrance but it was a guess based on where the garage (still) was. Since then, additional fill has meant that these steps and the wall behind - which neither Geoff nor I could later identify - have subsequently disappeared.
