Re: ► Soft Skinned Vehicles
Nice photos, Sturm.
Are they special created vehicles for that purpose or were modified to fit this new role?
The 1st vehicle have a truck chassis.
The 2nd vehicle resemble the Russian tractors (a inspiration for the Germans).

Hi Sturm 78,
thank You very much for posting these very interesting pics. Please, allow me to give the exact ID of the two snow throwers:
first pic: Dieselelektrische Räderfräse "DEP"
second pic: Dieselelektrische Raupenfräse „DER“
Exhibits of both vehicles are standing in Austria, DEP in Vordernberg, DER in Mauterndorf. Interesting the board with informations about the DER.
Best regards
Bert

Hi Bert,
Yes, I was just agreeing with Jose's statement of it being a Steyr 1500A, specifically a Kfz31 ambulance,
Kerry.

Hi Bert,
that´s the emblem of "Deutsches Rotes Kreuz" (German Red Cross). Here a pic of another vehicle with this emblem and a good pic of it.

Hi Rui,
that´s a Czechoslovakian Praga type "Lady". Sorry, I forgot the source of this pic: "Fahrzeuge der Feuerwehr und des Rettungsdienstes seit 1901" by Werner Oswald & Manfred Gihl.
