Hi all,

has anyone a complete picture to how the infantry fought in the desert?
How the infantry fought when was not in a prepared position?

Do you mean the El Alamein Battle in general or something particular?

I think in most cases one of the two sides was in a prepared position, and the other attacked it.
The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41
