Warspite hit by Fritz X
Dear forum!
There is a copy of a pretty awesome german "Wirkungsbild" on the Fritz X-attack on Warspite in september 1943 floating around on the Interet. This is link to a google search with the photograph.
Now, I want to buy the rights to publish this photograph, and hence need to trace it to its source, which I guess could ba a NARA-roll or a photo from an archive which someone has scanned and let loose on the Internet, with or wihtout the right do to so.
Does any of the esteemd members of this forum know the provenance of this photograph?

Thank you. It should work now.
Re: Warspite hit by Fritz X
The picture is included in "Warriors and wizards" and credited as "Personal collection of Ulf Balke". It is slightly differently framed than the scans on the internet, so they do not come from the book.

In Martin J Bollinger's Warriors and Wizards. The Development and Defeat of Radio Controlled Glide Bombs of the Third Reich (2010) incudes this photograph. It's socurce is given as "Personal Collection of Ulf Balke" (who has written a book, the book, on Kampfgeschwader 100). Is there anyone who knows how one can get in touch with Bollinger and/or Balke?

Here's Mr. Bollinger's bio.

I'd try to contact him through the Naval Historical Foundation as he's still on their board.

Alternatively try the publisher of Warriors and Wizards, the US Naval Institute here:

I did indeed!
I'm trying with various degrees of success to have a few weeks off, so I haven't written to Ulf Balke yet. I'll let you know when there is anything to report.

Just to close this topic.
Thanks to Marty Bollinger, I managed to get hold of Ulf Balke, who has, in turn, allowed the Swedish magazine Militär Historia to publish the aforementioned Wirkungsbild.
