Re: British tanks at Gazala 1942
I have been a historical researcher for about 30 years and I have been dealing with historical research on the theme of North African theater for at least 20 years. In collaborating with historians of all countries and backgrounds, it has never happened to me to be misunderstood or addressed with strange formulas of threat ... if someone wants to help me do it, if someone does not want to do not do it and also delete what he thinks and if you think you could do it ... I only needed a clarification on the dates and on the British armored units used during the battle of Gazala (the British, Italian and English historical journals are not very exhaustive on the matter) because in my research that period is obscure ..... however, if the question is not appreciated or can cause problems I will turn to others to get answers ...... of course you are very susceptible in this forum .......

Um can't we all just get along?
The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41

Urmel....
Yes we can, but obviously we are not all in agreement. In thirty years of activity I have helped many researchers for free and for pure passion but obviously my philanthropy has not paid ..... if to ask for help on a topic you take these answers it is better to leave it alone ..... a (Urmel) congratulations for the beautiful web page ... very thorough and sophisticated, perhaps a little lacking from the point of view .... Ciao Maurizio
Grazie! I am afraid I don't have that much by way of Italian original sources yet, although I keep working on it. There's quite a bit on the Regia Marina, but much less on the Regia Aeronautica and the Esercito I must admit. I am afraid I cannot help you right now with your request, but I will have another look through my files.

The 2 Santoro volumes are online at Avia.it. Not as detailed as the Chris Shores Air Wat but have the statistics.
