It says there that the dreaded Volskdeutsch and S.A. member Ferdinand Kristoforski (previously sentenced to death) appealed to the Highest Court and his sentence was overturned.
As result his case was retried and this time he was sentenced to life in prison and deprivation of public rights forever.
He was active in Zbiersk and Kościelec counties, took a lively part in deportation of Poles, and sent to death four men.

"volksdeutsch" is an adjective and hence written in small letters when not at the begin of a sentence.
It´s "Volksdeutscher" or in this case "der Volksdeutsche.."

AFAIK, means "wysiedlinenie" (der. from "wysiedlić = to displace) "relocation" and not deportation.
And to make this man responsible for what happened to them somewhere and sometime later in a camp is anyway nonsense. But that was common communist propaganda at the time.

Just small correction:

"wysiedlenie" not "wysiedlinenie".

Oh dear, another episode of dodgy semantics....

Wysiedlenie means to remove from ones abode - ie translated probably accurately by WM as deportation in this context. In any event whether you choose to call it displacement, deportation or even eviction, makes not a jot of difference to the victims or the guilt of the perpetrator. There is no implication of relocation - that would be termed przesiedlenie.

I see our colleague is a proponent of the theory that the man who pushes someone off a cliff is not responsible for his victim's death because, after all, he is not responsible for the laws of gravity . In reality the guilt of the party in question depends on the knowledge they had of the likely outcome of their actions. On the basis of the newspaper cutting in question, we can form no opinion on this, albeit the courts involved most likely did so. It may well have been the basis on which the cassation appeal was successful and why Kristoforski's sentence was reduced on retrial.

Unless history1 has some additional information the rest of us are not privy to, there is nothing in the text to suggest that the 4 individuals 'sent to their deaths' were sent to a camp. For all we know, they may just as easily have been taken to the nearest wood and shot on the spot. And in any case all of this is immaterial, all that matters is whether the 4 men named were killed and whether Kristoforski was responsible for their being sent to meet their doom. If that is the case, the statement that Kristoforski sent them to their deaths is accurate.

Ansata1976 - a complete translation herewith:

German criminal in court

Ferdynand Kristoforski, a volksdeutch and member of the S.A., well known during he occupation in the areas of Zbiersk and Koscielec municipalities for his criminal deeds (?escapades) against the Polish population and sentenced to death as a result of a previous court hearing, lodged a cassation appeal at the Supreme Court.

The criminal, who was the terror of the Polish population, who took an active role in the deportation of Poles and who sent Jozef Adamkiewicz, Jozef Dominiak, Stanislaw Przybylski and Franciszek Wlodarczyk to their deaths, was retried for these acts at the Regional Court on the 24th of this month.

As a result of the hearing, the court sentenced Kristoforski to life imprisonment and deprivation of public rights in perpetuity.
