Sammel-feldpost numbers. Where to find them?

#1

Post by jpz4 » 19 Sep 2019, 23:39

I fairly frequently run into Sammel-feldpost numbers, but finding an overview of all the units gathered under such a number tends to be rather difficult. At least some of them should be available, but the question is where….

Any thoughts? The usual websites/search engines don't seem to hold such details.

Hello

In the three books of N.Kannapin an overview of the known numbers is listed at the end of each book.
Is there a specific number you are looking for and if so, which one?
regards

Uli

Maybe you know this page, but's a good link to the FPN and online on Axys History:

I do have a few specific ones. First I can think of are these:
'09664', '11228' and '12343' (These are for the areas of Caen, St.Lô and Cherbourg)

I'll look up the others. It would be great if these were searchable online because I'm still missing FPNs for a couple of units and suspect they're part of Sammel-Feldpost numbers.

Yes, I'm well aware of the FPN listed on this website. I use it a lot, but it is not great for Sammel-feldpost numbers. I've probably found around 20 Sammel-FPNs here, but none of those have the sub-letters specified. Would be nice to get information on all of them, because it would probably account for some of the units I'm missing.

Thanks Uli. That helps a lot!
I've looked up a few other numbers, although only the first is an actual Sammel-FPN. The others are related to the Kriegsmarine where they simply seem to have added smaller organization under a larger one.

'11228' (St.Lô I think)
'04312'
'13513'
'13884'

Thanks Uli, very useful. It would appear that naval units did use some FPN as unofficial Sammelfpn, but without known sub-letters the exact way is difficult to determine.
