Munich and the origins of the nazis
MUNICH AND THE ORIGINS OF THE NAZIS
My final material in MUNICH series of articles gives a retrospective to the birth of the Nazi movement in Munich, which I have addressed within the previous topics. This week I would take you along rare-known locations, such as three homes of Adolf Hitler in Munich, as well as four NSDAP headquarters, starting from 1919. As always I combine the history of the subject and of every location, before, within and after the described period. I am looking forward to your feedback and comments, which indeed make my day and give me an idea, that my work brings positive value to people, who are ready to invest time in reading. Read books and Travel.

Re: Munich and the origins of the nazis
Hi Maksym,
What is the source of the four photos showing the interior of Hitler's apartment on Prinzregentenplatz? I have seen the one on the upper right (desk), but not the other three. Do these photos have captions? Does one of them show Geli's room? You are probably aware that there is some controversy as to exactly which room in the apartment was Geli's.
Thanks!
Geoff

Re: Munich and the origins of the nazis
Thanks, Max! I wish this page gave the original source(s) of these photos. Maybe they were all taken by American GIs in 1945. I've also seen the one showing the janitor and his wife (this and the one with the desk were in Life Magazine in May 1945).
Too bad the one purportedly showing Geli's room doesn't show more of the room. It's hard to say which of the two rooms today identified as Geli's, is this room in the photo. Also the room said to be Eva Braun's - obviously a very small room, but I can't tell which one it was.

Also Vogue published some photos in 1945. They can be seen on Lee Miller Archives web page.

Thanks, I have seen the Lee Miller Archives photos online. Perhaps she also took the photo(s) showing Geli's room, but it's not in the online archives. I'm sure she must have taken hundreds more photos than are shown on the archives page.
