Thanks Ruud,
We have a 2.4 crate in the 608 of that's what you mean
?
My question was more about the steel version of the zwischenstuck.. i have only seen "kunstharz/bakelite" examples, except from the picture in the post above.

So i'm really curious of this was doen more common, or its just a one time solution of maybe even post war??

Gr, Tim
Yep is mean the 2,4 crate, maybe this is wat Malcolm is looking for. Further no idea.
About the zwischenstuck … don't read your post very well.
Never seen or read about a steel version.

Hi,

I am looking for any photos of the crates used for the filter drums with a view of making one.

Regards

Thank you!

Is the straw original? Would have thought it would suck up moisture and damage the filter?

Yup, well I guess they where not intended to place outside in the rain. But considering it is from 1944 it doesn't "vacuum up" moisture by itself.
I guess the straw is so dry that is is almost water resistant at first.
Like wood, it is waterproof until you soak it.
Thanks,

Wim

Lovely the Feldpostnumber 14649 on the box! It is from the Festungs-Pionier-Park 521 Zweigstelle Mosjoen
