Who succeeded Leitner as head of Arbeitsgau XXXVIII? Could it be either Generalarbeitsführer Alexander Commichau or Oberstarbeitsführer Adolf Deppe?
GeneralAbf Hickl was commissioned to lead the Arbeitsgau XXXVIII - Böhmen und Mähren, he returned to his own AG XXXIV / Linz at beginning of April 1945, after Hierl decided OberstAbf. Freiherr v. Schnurbein to lead the AG XXXVIII in Prague. ( Source: Letter from Hickl to K.H.Frank, 6.4.1945, National Archive Prag ).
So the sequence was Commichau - ? - Leitner - Hickl - v.Schnurbein.

Perhaps Oberstarbeitsführer Röhrig, the then acting Arbeitsgauführer, could be the gap between Commichau and Leitner.

It was RAD-Oberstarbeitsführer Bernhard Freiherr von Schnurbein, who held the post of Hierl's liason officer to Rudolf Hess.

Thanks, did any other Arbeitsgaue have a Oberstarbeitsführer as Arbeitsgauführer by 1945?

@1 I see RAD-Generalarbeitsführer Eduard Helff and... I can't make it, I guess, it's either Führer der RAD-Arbeitsgruppe 270 (RAD-Oberarbeitsführer Georg Groß) or Führer der RAD-Arbeitsgruppe 271 (RAD-Arbeitsführer Erwin Golditz).

Regards,
Igor

Thanks alot Igor! I think it could be Groß, because of the Silver Wound Badge. On this picture, he looks a bit different, though.

I am skeptical the identification is correct based on the awards, although Gross does have the Eiserns Kruez and the Verwundetenabzeichen, the person seen with GAF Helff has the same awards but also with the EK 2 ribbon, and he doesn't look like Gross.

I agree with Gwar, also, This fellow also has a short stocky build where as Gross seems more tall and slender. I know the Roman Numerals were Gau Numbers, but did the Large Number signify Abteilung or Gruppe? I’m guessing the Small Numbers underneath the large ones were meant to be Sturm Numbers?
