Amazing. They fired off about a months worth of typical consumption in a little over a week. Or actually, less than a week. I suppose it also depends on what units were in the III Pz. Kps. throughout the time period?
Gotta hand it to the Germans. They are fastidious about the numbers!

I imagine they had some other assigned artillery perhaps? Who used those French 155mm guns?
It is interesting the amount of high explosive the antitank guns and other weapons used. Certain ammunition, like Pngr 40 seems to have not been used that much. They even break it out by fuzing in some cases.

Here is the III Pz. Korps ammo consumption July 11-22,1943. The 503 Tiger Abt. expended 1665 HE and 1907 APBC rounds.
Re: Kursk III Pz. Kps. ammo consumption/results
According to KOSAVE tables the III PzK and its three divisions consumed about 4700 short tons or 4260 metric tons of ammunition on 4-10 July. Consumption on the first three days of July must be very small. Some difference might result from inclusion of 150-mm Nebelwerfers.

IIRC we also did not include the weight of small arms ammunition.Art wrote: ↑12 Mar 2020, 21:48According to KOSAVE tables the III PzK and its three divisions consumed about 4700 short tons or 4260 metric tons of ammunition on 4-10 July.
