If you read the survey, you would note that.....................Page 204...........says 42 penetrations out of 56 shots..
Thanks for referencing the fact that that 42 of 56 (75%) of the hits on a Panther penetrated.
When 79% are on the side or rear. Well obviously its "75% of hits on knocked out Panthers penetrated." No count of hits on just runners.

Not on 'A Panther'....a small sample of 22 panthers.

So, why don't you say 100% of panzer IVs were penetrated?

Thanks for the laughs. But, I have been told that laughing at people's poor attempts at maths is not that civil. But, in some cases, especially if they posture themselves as some sort of authority (or author); I can't help myself. And if THEY are OBSESSIVE, YET claim OTHERS are obsessive, THEN we are in a whole new realm of confustipation.

It is not your grammar that is in dire need of help.

Hi guys

So the correct statement is:

22 Panthers were examined, 56 shots were identified of which 42 had penetrated - that is 75% of the shots identified had penetrated.

Or 75% of the shots that hit the Panthers examined penetrated.

Regards

John

I believe that is not only an accurate statement, but one I have been saying. Perhaps you can help MK with the reading of the report?

But wait! There's more that I agree with... (b)...if you can read it
The full advantage is certainly greater than that shown in the table

In addition to that....I suspect the 'sample' is actually from the first 'phase' of the study. That is, when the Panthers were actually attacking more.
