Wondering if anyone can ID either of these SS-Hauptsturmführer? The one on the left looks familiar to me but unable to place.
Thanks for checking.

mil-archive I guess it´s rather you who should be able to tell us who those men are when you´re holding a copyright for this image. Who took that image and where, please? TIA.

Ivan, you are right - it is NOT Albert Schuch.
His rank, awards and appearance is not fit. In addition, pay attention to the his empty black left collar insignia and Allgemeine-SS shoulder boards (narrow, in comparison with Waffen-SS).
If this photo signed as Albert Schuch in any book, this is undoubtedly an error.
Best,

Andrey.
Hi, Andrey, I do have the greatest respect for you, but on this occasion I must disagree, the SS-Obersturmbannführer is Albert Schuch, he wears his Allgemeine-SS insignia as Führer in Abschnittes XXV the rank he received Sept. 1938.
He also received the AH GBP in 1938, and wound badge for WW-I.
Witt and Schuch were old chums from Hagen and the 30. SS-Std.
Cheers, Martin

His Allgemeine SS rank wasn't taken into consideration then, thanks for the note Martin.

Ivan
