Hitler's Childhood

#1

Post by Aditeppichfresser » 20 Feb 2020, 06:51

This is my first post on this forum and I'm curious to know if anyone has seen the following image I'm going to describe. I swear I've seen this picture before, but at this point I cant tell if I actually have or if I'm just loosing it. Has anyone seen a photo of Hitler, around 5-6 years old dressed in a sailor suit. I know, sounds ridiculous and it is, but would anyone know where that is, or if it even exists? I read about it in the following article I'll leave a link, it driving me nuts! Thanks!

"In April of the following year (1894), the family moved back to Austria and took up residence on a newly purchased nine acre farm near the river Traun in the village of Hafeld. The six year old Adolf, dressed in a dark-blue sailor suit., entered public school for the first time in the village of Fischlham two miles away."

In answer to your question, this is not an image I ever recall having seen of Hitler (as a young boy in a dark sailor suit) before. It also may not exist as described.

Unfortunately, the source listed (linked article at http://smoter.com/first11y.htm) is rather poorly organized; among the many unidentified and odd, vaguely originally sourced footnotes there does not appear to be any identifiable enough to be linked to the information about the sailor suit. Information presented in such a sloppy manner casts doubt on its authenticity and credibility.

Sorry I could not be of further help. :welcome:

It could be! From what I'm trying to recall it was an extremely blurry low quality picture, but I could just be mistaking it for the young Churchhill picture you provided. Thanks!:)
