Hi all,

I am not sure about this image as I am not expert in uniforms or helmets....
Is this image an Austro-Hungarian Army WW1-era image or a Hungarian interwar/WW2 image ??

Nobody for my last quuestion ?

Well, here an image of a Romanian Skoda M16. It seems this howitzer is in display in a museum or barracks...indicating that the Romanians did not use these howitzers captured after WW1 operationally during World War II either, unlike the Germans or the Yugoslavs.

Hi Sturm,

I think it was not allowed to Hungary to operate heavy artillery between the wars. There were any 30,5 cm Skoda howitzers in Hajmáskér training grounds with other heavy equipment, but only to be scrapped.

I think it could be this piece in Bucharest military museum.

Hi Ondrej
The Hungarian army used the 30.5cm Skoda howitzers (both the M11 and M16 models) during the 1930s. In fact, even modernized them with new wheels with solid rubber tires.

They probably hid them during the 1920s, just as Germany did with its heavy artillery

Here is a fairly well-known image of an M11 model parading in Transylvania in September 1940
