Nobody ?

Well, I found this image on the net. I am not sure about the exact model of Semovente.
Note the peculiard berets of the soldiers...Any idea about this ?

Beret might be that of the “black brigades”

Nobody ?
Unfortunately everything I have on glorious Italian AFV's, groups the Semoventes together and does not go into changes..... :x
Looking through pictures it appears that they changed up the drive wheel with the m42:

Thank you, Contender...perhaps these drive wheels with protuberant teeths are characteristics of the M42 model, but it is starnge that this new drive wheels don`t appear in later M43 chassis.... :?

You image is a Semovente da 75-34.
Was the Semovente da 75-34 built on M41 chassis or were they all made with M42 chassis?

Another characteristic that appear in a few vehicles is the device marked inside red circle....Any idea ?

Smv 75/34 was built on M15/42 chassis as were late models of the Smv 75/18. Only 75/34 prototypes used M13/41 chassis

Hi all,

Well, in that case the drive wheel with the protruding teeth cannot be a distinctive feature of the M42 since I have seen images of the Semovente 75-34 with those protruding teeth and also without them....

It's always dangerous to use interchangable parts to identify a specific version. It doesn't work on german tanks either.

I suspect-- suspect-- that it is a bottle jack of one sort or another for jacking the vehicle up for repairs.

They all look something like that.
