Ivan Ž. wrote:If Franz Witt was killed in Greece in April 1941 and Papa Schuch was promoted to SS-Stubaf. in June 1944 (apparently never even reaching the rank of SS-Ostubaf.), how can the SS-Ostubaf. be Papa Schuch?

Cheers,
Ivan
Ivan, you are right - it is NOT Albert Schuch.
His rank, awards and appearance is not fit. In addition, pay attention to the his empty black left collar insignia and Allgemeine-SS shoulder boards (narrow, in comparison with Waffen-SS).
If this photo signed as Albert Schuch in any book, this is undoubtedly an error.
Best,

Andrey.
Hi, Andrey, I do have the greatest respect for you, but on this occasion I must disagree, the SS-Obersturmbannführer is Albert Schuch, he wears his Allgemeine-SS insignia as Führer in Abschnittes XXV the rank he received Sept. 1938.
He also received the AH GBP in 1938, and wound badge for WW-I.
Witt and Schuch were old chums from Hagen and the 30. SS-Std.
Cheers, Martin

His Allgemeine SS rank wasn't taken into consideration then, thanks for the note Martin.

Cheers,
Ivan

Hi, who is the SS-Untersturmführer with Hermann Fegelein? And does anyone know where and when this pic was taken?

Hi! Can anyone identify either of these two? I have an idea who the senior officer might be, but I'm not sure. The junior officer may be his adjutant. Thanks for any responses.
The photo is most likely to have been taken about 1935 or 1936.

I take it you are referring to the photos of Kaul and adjutant, as the Dietrich photo is pre-Spring '42?
