Austrian soldiers in Wehrmacht
Austrian soldiers in Wehrmacht
Does exist a database with all Austrians who fought in Wehrmacht during Second World War, or at least liests of killed soldiers from Austria ?
Re: Austrian soldiers in Wehrmacht
Why on earth is this question in the foreign volunteers section? Austria was part of the German Reich at the time and Wehrmacht were its armed forces. If you need info on Wehrmacht soldiers, search or contact Volksbund or WASt.

Re: Austrian soldiers in Wehrmacht
Hello!
Ivan is correct - as he usually is. The Bundesarchiv in Berlin (formerly the Deutsche Dienststelle) now holds most of the Wehrmacht's surviving personnel records.
However, there are some records (Stammrollen) in the Austrian State Archives in Vienna. Have a look at this link:

Good luck with your research.

Hello, I was interested if there is something in specific with Austrians themselves, documents etc.
