Can anyone please help me with:

Bächereikompanie e 627

This was my father's company in the East during WWII. I believe it was attached to Manstein's 11th Army, which was Later disbanded after Sevastopol. It may have been a part of Army Group Don.

Thank You Advance,
Karl

Hallo Uwe,

Sorry for the delay in response. Have been moving for the last few months.

Thank You so much for the information. My father passed away in Rosenheim in 1990, and later I realized that there were many additional questions I should have asked him.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
Karl

Hallo Uwe,

One more quick question. My research indicates the the FPN points to the 320th Infantry Division. Can you confirm that this is the case?

Many thanks,
Karl

Hello Karl

Bäckerei-Kp. 627 was a independently unit - so called Heerestruppe

Thank You so much Uwe.

This explains why I am having such a hard time determining his precise duty units during the war. My father was in a a lazaret in Rosenheim during the last six months of the war due to hepatitis. He was also diagnosed with schizophrenia by the time I knew him, so discerning fantasy and truth became difficult. I do have many of his WWII pictures from the Netherlands, France, Bulgaria, and the Crimea. Some are annotated, and some are not.

Nope, seems to be POW post. Most likely a censors stamp (14 in triangle) and some stamps of the authorities running the camp. But I´m not familiar with the acronyms.

Sorry for not reading al the posts in this topic.
I know what the L, M prefix mean, but in Amsterdam i came across the prefixes T and W.
We can assume the source of the document is wrong, these letters were found in resistance documents.
But normally these are quite accurate.

I recently came across several feldpost envelopes with not much success in finding the numbers. Any help appreciated:

05539 - July 22, 1944 - generic feldpost cancel - v-waffen?
26006 - blind cancel no date - panzer? v-waffen?
37821 - Nov 9 1942 generic feldpost cancel - v-waffen?
L51411 - March 4, 1944 - v-waffen?
Feldpost letter envelope - Luckenwalde - February 23, 1945 - no feldpost number - v-waffen?
Feldpost (no number) Arb. - Kd0. 802 Kriegs-Gef-Lager Odenkirchen Wiedemanstr 49 - Rh??dt-Odenkirchen - December 21, 1942 - no unit - v-waffen?

Thanks again for any help!

Interested in obtaining items such as feldpost mailings, documents, etc. related to V1 and V2 weapon programs and their associated military units and supplier/builder companies (e.g. Siemens electronics V2).
