Note that Croneiss wears the Wehrwirtschaftsführer Abzeichen.

Re: Reichsleiter Dr. Robert Ley
Pardon my ignorance, but the "Wehrwirtschaftsführer" Badge is new to me! Can you give a word of background about it?
Many thanks,

Yes, usually he is seen in his SS uniform. His early air service and involvement with the air industry assured his appointment.Michael Miller wrote: ↑08 Apr 2020, 17:12My pleasure. May I ask the source of this exceptional photo?
I believe it's the first one I've seen of Theo Croneiss in Luftwaffe uniform.

Hi Mike,
I believe the photo was sold on ebay.de some months ago. But I didn't buy it, and unfortunately I don't recall the name of the seller either.

Hi Joe,
You're undoubtedly right, my friend!! As it turns out, Runic is a new friend, too, and he's really into these pieces. Thanks for the heads-up, of course. But as I see it now, this is still a rare piece.
With warmest Eastertide wishes,
Br. James

Re: Reichsleiter Dr. Robert Ley
I have read somewhere, perhaps in Ronald Smelser’s book, that Robert Ley had talked of having a near-death experience, either during his wartime crackups or the car crash later. I can't find anything about this in any source, and Smelser's book on Ley is the only detailed source I can find on Ley in English. I'd be grateful if anyone has any information regarding the veracity of this claim and any actual details of what Ley may have said on the subject.
