French weapons
Re: French weapons
Thank you for your help, Emmanuel.
Very useful, although some links are not actives
I think the most noticeable difference is the shield: rounded shapes in 1919 models and more angled in 1928 models.

Hi StrumSturm78 wrote:Hi all,
Which is the different between the 75mm and 105mm Schneider Mle1919 and the Mle 1928 mountain guns?
Which was the model used by Paraguay in the Chaco War? Mle 1919 or Mle 1928??

The main visual difference between the Mle 1919 guns and the Mle 1928 guns is the shield as Emmanuel has stated.
The 75mm Mle 1919 and 75mm Mle 1928 have a joint in the trail see Emmanuel's link http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 5&t=109055
The 105mm Mle 1919 and 105mm Mle 1928 have a one piece trail see Emmanuel's link http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 5&t=144817

Re: 155mm GPFT
Hello!David Lehmann wrote: ↑01 Dec 2007, 00:15Canon de 155 mm GPFT (L/38.2) (Grande Puissance FILLOUX – Touzard carriage)

The 155mpm GPFT (T = Touzard carriage = version with 4 pneumatics) was on its side a modernized version, but only 60 155mm GPFT were in service in May 1940. This gun was towed at 25-30 km/h by the Laffly S35T truck.
The Germans used the 155mm GPF/GPFT under the name 15.5cm K418/419(f). The 155mm GPFT was e.g. used by the Deutsche Afrika Korps. One can note that in March 1944 there were still 22 15.5 cm K419(f) (=GPFT) in service in the German army.
I'm interesting in the gun and I've two questions on it.
1. When the gun was developed and put into the production?
2. What artillery regiments of the French Army operated the gun till 1940?
