ah, so they are know images? That's a little disappointing... I suppose that multiple copies could have been made though
Not really. Some are, but most are not I think. I think I've seen only three of all these images before. More than one set of copies was made for sure, but one never knows how many survived. In any case, there's really nothing to be disappointed about ;) It's a fine collection.

Ivan

LAH 1-135-2:
German:
Meldestaffel beim 2. Btl. des Regimentes "Nordland"
Winterstellung 1941/42 am Mius

English:
Report squadron at the 2nd Batl. of regiment "Nordland"
Winter position 1941/42 on the river Mius

Hope this helps, -Peter

This is Hungary. The officer standing in the car seems to be a DKiG holder and possibly also a KC holder. But I can't see his face.

thanks guys!!

OK - the following 30 or so images are from a lot of negatives I bought. I really thought I'd hit a mega jackpot! That's until I started to recognise known/published images. These are actually photos of photos in an album, although the quality is really superb. On most of them (although I cropped it out when I scanned them) is a ruler with indication of photo size, plus I can just see a few edges of the standard black photo album paper of the period, so definitely pictures in an existing album.

My query is - are all of these known images? And of course, who am I looking at! Of course I recognise Himmler and Hitler...

Well, they camouflaged all/most vehicles in the later stage of the war. Can you make a better scan of the officer's face? He is almost certainly a known & important character.

(The latest set of images is indeed well known. There's mostly Otto Baum and Johannes Göhler, also seen are Eicke, Sepp Dietrich etc.)

Cheers,
Ivan

thanks, I tried 9600 dpi in both colour and black & white. Still blurry but these are about the best I can do given the source material.

do you think these have any value then? Or should I just advertise them for exactly what they are and let them find their own sale price?

Good quality prints always have value, but I don't feel comfortable suggesting a price. Maybe someone has a better idea about their value.

Thanks for the zoomed images of the officer. Sadly, the face is too blurry. He is an SS-Stubaf. or an SS-Ostubaf. and does appear to be both DKiG and KC holder.

Ivan

I attempted sharpening the images, but there is not much to work with. But as Ivan says, clearly an SS-Stubaf. or SS-Ostubaf.

Joachim Rumohr, future Oak Leaves holder. This photo belong to ArtRgt "Das Reich", not LAH again.

It seems to be a mixed "Reich" crew; you can see the "Deutschland" cufftitle (Gothic script) on the right

OK - today's batch is from another LSSAH album I have - again, I must stress that the owner of the album was LSSAH, the photos may show SS men from different units.

the first part of the album shows the SS entering Prague on 4th October 1939. There are about 40 photos, here are the ones of luminaries and interesting officers/people

This is photo #1 and I guess the owner of the album originally

Image

who are the officers on the review stand?

Hitler & Mussolini arrive

the one photo you don't want to be blurred is blurred!! I guess everyone wanted to get a piece of the action and the photographer was nudged at the last moment....in the next shot we get the tops of their bodies, the one after, their feet!

Some other interesting officers follow the main entourage:
