I don't know much about daggers, but I know that as a senior SA-Führer, Dr. Hans Frank was a recipient of the Ehrendolch der SA.
Is this an Ehrendolch or a basic Dienstdolch?

Regarding his SA service:

08./09.11.1923 Participated in the “München-Putsch”.
00.00.1931-00.00.1931 Leiter of Unterabteilung III in the Quartiermeisterstab der OSAF.
18.12.1931-13.04.1932 Granted SA rank as an SA-Führer z. V. and assigned as Chef of the Rechtsabteilung in the Obersten SA-Führung.
20.04.1933-14.01.1934 Assigned as an SA-Führer z. V. to the Stab der Obersten SA-Führer.
15.01.1934 Appointed as Referent of Abteilung VI in the Stab der Obersten SA-Führer.
27.07.1934-30.11.1936 (?) Appointed as an SA-Ehrenführer with the rank of SA-Gruppenführer and attached to the staff of SA-Gruppe Hochland (München).
30.11.1936-00.05.1945 (?) Transferred to the active SA-Führerkorps and assigned as an SA-Führer z. V. to SA-Gruppe Hochland (with effect from 01.11.1936). Of his SA membership, he stated the following during interrogation at Nürnberg on 01.09.1945:

"I had no [SA] duties. I had the right to wear the uniform… Because in former years I had defended many trials for members of the SA… I only wore the uniform at special occasions during marches of the SA. If I have worn it often, I have worn it ten times." Hmm based on the op's comments, I am going to say. think this new member with 2 posts is catfishing members. I mean, and we long time members see this pattern quite a bit on this and other froums. A newbie posts an ultra rare and one of a kind piece in his very first post? and then gets kind of defensive when the relic is questioned. You guys get what I mean.Soo, I call bullcrap on this piece and the post.

also, a piece for such a persona would be at least hand engraved, not crudely stamped in non germanic font.

Spot on assessment Xavier,, and an FYi I have been thinking about this relic, and I recall it being presented way back on I think GDF and WAF, and recall the BS and the reply from a member about the font as you posted Xavier.He had said the same **non Germanic font* and he went on to say it looked modern

That's a common SA Dienstdolch...Why Frank should to use a simple dagger model being himself a SA high leader,
and less to mark his personal name on the crossguard. Has no sense. Frank was not very fond of being seen
wearing the SA uniform, preferring government uniforms according to their rank of minister
