Infantry Anti-Tank Tactics In Northwest Europe - 1944 & 1945

The four attached reports describe the methods used by US infantry units to battle German panzers in Northwest Europe during 1944 and 1945.

All of the reports were collected from the US Army publication ‘Battle Experiences’. The publication date of each report is listed in the attachment title.

Thanks. Interesting to nore references to rifle grenades. Were these HEAT anti tank grenades?

I note there is no mention of the 2d ID's Anti-tank Cows employed at Krinkelt-Rocherath, which seems a huge oversight. :D

Interesting, they used bayonets and pistols in addition to other weapons. These reports you are giving us are quite good, Thank You for taking the time to do this.

Attached are the final 5 reports for this subject. These reports were collected from the US Army publication ‘Battle Experiences’. The publication date of each report is listed in the attachment title.

I hope the site members found these reports informative and useful. The reports show the Army units conducted a much more organized and dedicated anti-tank effort than written about in many books.

I post further reports about this subject if I encounter them in my research.
