3 imperial officers of Dragoner 7
Does anyone recognize one of the 3 gentlemen. The photo was taken at a meeting of Westfälisches Dragoner-Regiment Nr.7 in the 1930´s in Saarbrücken.

Re: 3 imperial officers of Dragoner 7
Dragoner Rgt Nr 7 became the first Eskadron of RH RR 8 in 1920.
I don't have much in terms of Manfred v Schwerin (son of Gen dKav Ludwig v Schwerin)
He was born in 1881 so only made Major in RH after the war. He was Kmdr of RR 8 on 01.05.28 and then CdS to the Inspk d Kav on 01.10.30.
Retired on 31.08.32 and Char als GenMj same day. Chars GenLt 27.08.39. So the should boards of the Gen in the picture fit.
Winfriend vd Schulenberg was Stab RR8 01.06.27 but spotted a Johanniter RechtsRK. So did Graberg of RR 8's superior formation - 2 Kav Div.
In the 1914 Rangliste the young ObLt v Schwerin had a ÖFJ4 - can you expand your picture a little to see if we could see that or a higher grade?
The bottom pic was v Schwerin as a young Lt in Ulanen Rgt 10 "August v Württemberg" in 1902.
Thanks
Elwyn

Re: 3 imperial officers of Dragoner 7
Thanks. But I dont think the General is von Schwerin. the photo is part of a huge estate from 8. Reiter-Regiment and there are other photos of von Schwerin. He looks much different, especially the mouth.
Here is the medal bar of the General:

Here are 3 more officers in civil. They are sitting in the first row, so I think former staff officers. Maybe someone knows their faces?

Re: 3 imperial officers of Dragoner 7
The awards are a little blurry, but he appears to have both a Crown Order 4th Class with swords, some colonial medal and a Bavarian Military Merit Order. Major a.D. Horst von Dreising, lastly of Kürassier-Regiment Nr. 8 was a former officer of DR 7 (1896-1906) and who held these awards. He was a member of the association of former officers of DR 7. He had also served with the Schutztruppe for German South West Africa, hence the Crown Order with swords and the DSWA medal.luckystrike78 wrote: ↑31 May 2020 09:12here are two more from the same event:

Thanks. Here is his award bar in the highest possible resolution.
