Not the best pic (from a movie), but looks like the distinctive shape of a Praga Lady Ambulance with a Snydr Kolin body, but it looks like late war camo- no white crosses or whote top, only some sign on doors? From the shadows it looks like a sunny day, which doesnt help... Sourde:

Hi Jose,
a great ID! I think that it fits. Here a pic of a Praga Lady ambulance and a pic of the logo of the German Red Cross in that time. It could be the same vehicle with the same or similar inscription of the Deutsches Rotes Kreuz with the swastika, which was surely removed by the Czech people after the liberation by American troops.
Best regards
Bert

Hi VRIL7,
thank You very much for Your reply. Excuse me, please, for my late response, but I had other things to do.
I`m still thinking, that the truck on the pic is the type 6 L. You are right, that Skoda produced also the type L (1932 - 1935), but AFAIK it had another hood. Here two pics of the type L for comparing.

Bert

Re: ► Photothread: Czechoslovakian soft skin transport vehicles 1930-1945
Hi guys,
From VRIL7's scans it would appear that the L has five cooling flaps per side and the 6L has four. The door mouldings are also a little different, but the flaps are very clear.
Not sure if it helps, but...
Cheers,
Kerry.

Re: ► Photothread: Czechoslovakian soft skin transport vehicles 1930-1945
Hi Kerry.
What don’t you see? The main difference between the Škoda 6L and Škoda L was in the front axle. On 6L, an additional row of bolts is visible for mounting the drive axle gearbox. In addition, the front axle on L was solid, and on 6L - half shafts.

Hi Kerry, hi VRIL7,
thank You very much for Your replies. Very interesting! But what type is on Holgers site?
In the book "Historic Military Vehicles Directory" by Bart Vanderveen there is the information, that the Skoda L 6 x 4 was produced during 1932 - 1935 for the Czech armed forces, superseded by the type 6L 6 x 6, in production in 1936/37, initially known as model 6LT6-L.
And another comment to the truck of the museum You posted VRIL7: I think that this truck is not totally identical with the original (bumpers and side motor hood).
Best regards
Bert

Re: ► Photothread: Czechoslovakian soft skin transport vehicles 1930-1945
Hello everybody.
Do not blindly trust different websites. They have a lot of erroneous and not reliable information.
Now I will try to bring historical clarity to the development of the Skoda L. light truck. The book that I mentioned above is the best book on the history of Skoda military trucks, where there is a lot of historical and reliable information.
So according to her: the first prototype Skoda 6LT6 was produced in 1935 and released in a single copy. He had a square cabin and a 45 hp engine.
There is a photo in the book, but I have not scanned it yet because there is no scanner at home.
Since 1936, the production of a serial modification of the Skoda 6LT6 began, and until 1937 only 20 pieces were produced. It differed from the prototype in a more streamlined cabin and an engine with a power of 58.5 hp (see SIS 5 photo above in post # 185).
Now about the name of the Skoda military trucks.
Until 1940 they bore the names: 6LT6, 6ST6, 6VT6, 6STP6, 6VTP6 and others. Where the letter "P" meant four-wheel drive. Since 1940, names have been reduced for example: L, 6L, 6S, 6V, 6SD, 6VD, etc., where the number designates four-wheel drive and the letter "D" means diesel.
So, in 1940, the production of a new model of an all-wheel drive light truck 6L (6x6) for the Romanian army began (see my photos). And until 1942, 148 pieces were built. It differed from previous 6LT6 models (SIS 5 photo in post # 185) with all-wheel drive and a more powerful 66 hp engine. Because of what the shape of the hood has changed.
Since 1941, the release of the Skoda L (6x4) version for the Yugoslav army began. Until 1942, 300 copies were produced.
In fact, in 1932 a prototype of the Skoda 6STP6 (6x6) medium tractor was produced. I have his scan. If you want, I can post it.
I hope my information was useful and will bring historical order to this light truck.
P.S. Mr. SIS 5, I wrote you a message last week on your mail.

In the book "Historic Military Vehicles Directory" by Bart Vanderven, I discovered a lot of errors. So, you should not completely trust her.
The museum copy is not completely identical, but the front axle is original.
In your photo, Skoda L (6х4). It is obvious. And on this site I found a lot of errors.

Re: ► Photothread: Czechoslovakian soft skin transport vehicles 1930-1945
Hi VRIL7,
How is "What don't you see" helpful? Yes, I see fine well that the 6x6 has different front wheel mounting flanges (driven wheel) to the 6x4 (free wheel)variety, this is perfectly normal and does not need me to mention it. I am not some stupid small child that you need to tell he is unaware of the facts. My point was that with an indistinct photo it is easier to see some differences such as the engine cooling arrangement. And yes, there are early and late models with different louvers etc, but the initial photo from Bert has the 5 "barndoors" rather than the vertical louvres. I do not, however, see any reason to use such negative and aggressive language, if you do not like what I say, and it is incorrect, feel free to comment.
Kerry.

Re: ► Photothread: Czechoslovakian soft skin transport vehicles 1930-1945
Hi Kerry.
I apologize if I offended you. I did not want this and did not think that because of such a trifle you would be offended. In addition, Google - the translator does not transmit the exact translation.
But I don’t think that because of such a trifle, a Third World War will arise between us.
And another question, but no offense: why are you signing your photos of poor quality? In addition to being of disgusting quality, the inscription can also hide useful details.

Hello everybody.
I found on the Internet an image of the prototype Skoda 6LT6 (6x4) of 1935. Although it is of poor quality, it gives an idea of how it looked.
In the book that I mentioned; Photos of Skoda 6LT6 (6x4) 1935 and Skoda L (6x4) 1941 of the highest quality.
PS: hello Burt, I read your message. Many thanks.
