Ok, it 's normal, no problem
...but nobody wants to help me with my DKW? the timbre ?? the number" 1 "and letter "N" ?? maybe the inspection
N= for 1942 or Nachrichten ( signal )
1 = ???

N= for 1942 or Nachrichten ( signal )

Re: ► Photothread: Motorcycles of Wehrmacht
Hi Terry
I don't think the letter N means Nachrichten. From my point of view there is little sense recording on the chassis the purpose of the army unit for which the vehicle was destined, but the truth is that I have no idea of the markings of the German army equipment...

I found this DKW KS 200, in ITALY very close to the Gothic line at La Spieza, used as a courier vehicle, according to the former owner.

Hi Alif,
I think it is a DKW, maybe the type KS 200. Here a pic of this motorbike (source of the pic: https://www.autoscout24.de/moto/dkw/dkw-ks-200/).
Best regards
Bert

Hi cjwinty,
for me it is an Austrian Puch type S 4. Here a pic of such a motorcycle, but then there wasn´t a rear view. Source of the pic: https://www.motorrad-fuchs.com/de/singl ... S4_WH.html
